IF YOU TRAVEL YOU NEED CARMACAL

CARMACAL is a unique tool for tour operators, travel professionals and travellers across the tourism & travel and can be broadly divided into three groups:

  • Travel Operators – use CARMACAL to calculate and report the footprint of your products for any group size or trip duration.
  • Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) – use CARMACAL to calculate and report the footprint of your destination or regions to see what tourism is contributing to your emissions.
  • Travellers – use CARMACAL to calculate the footprint of your holiday and see how your choices can make a difference.

CARMACAL IS SECURE AND ACCURATE

CARMACAL is governed by user inputs and a secure user database storing all calculations made by the user for analysis and reuse. CARMACAL serves two purposes:

  1. It forms the numerical base for the sustainable management of tourism and travel enterprises and organisations; and,
  2. It supplies the public with carbon information about travel products through third-party apps and website information resources.

The input information is processed using external existing web applications, data from partner resources and proprietary datasets. The processes are fed by information from a range of databases.
